About Us

About

Thousands of wind turbines will be decommissioned in Ireland in the next decade. Solutions are needed to stop wind turbine blades ending up in landfills. EirBlade’s data-driven tools enable repurposing applications for decommissioned blades

EirBlade is creating new knowledge and tools to unlock the circular economy for wind energy.

EirBlade's national database of wind turbine blades is the most detailed and technically rich ever developed.

It offers fast and easy access to detailed information on blade age, condition, decommissioning dates, and structural properties.

Our visual inspection and condition rating system is the first to specifically address second-life applications for blades.

EirBlade's portfolio of tools is helping designers, architects and engineers to find the right blade for every repurposing application.
